Mechanical Earth

Mechanical Hearth was a game I created on my own for the Design and Storyboard subject. The goal was to develop a mobile game of our choice. I ended up creating a 2D single-player action, adventure, and platformer game. Below are all the details about the game's creation process, as well as a download link.

#1 About The Game

Story Summary

In a futuristic world, the city is controlled by robots that keep humans under an oppressive regime. John William, a police officer, fights to maintain order amid the chaos. As he explores abandoned places, he discovers clues about his past and his family, who were cruelly taken from him during the machine revolution. John embarks on a journey to face the machines, fighting for justice, freedom, and a bit of revenge, to ensure that what happened to him doesn't happen to anyone else.

Final Reflection / Download Link

This was one of my favorite projects; I loved every moment of it and had complete freedom to create the game to my liking, which was great. I managed to implement several things I didn't think I was capable of, from sounds to menus, and even adapted it for mobile, which I wasn't used to. I also realize that without tutorials, I wouldn't have achieved such a good result, they were a great help. This project gave me a lot of knowledge in 2D game development, something I value and am proud of to this day.
