RIOT

Riot is a single-player action RPG for PC, created as the final project for one of the semesters, developed by a team of three members in about two months. Below, I provide more information about the game and include a download link at the end.

My Contribution

My contribution to this game was significant, due to the fact that some of the members did not attend all the necessary subjects. We were three people, but not everyone was enrolled in all areas. In my case, since I was involved in all subjects, I took on a major role. I mainly handled the implementation of the game engine, from finding and implementing assets, creating simple 3D models, developing enemy AI, implementing character animations, programming, visual effects, among other tasks. It's important to mention that consulting tutorials was crucial to achieve a result like this.

Final Reflection / Download Link

Making this game was one of the projects that gave me the most experience in game creation. It was an excellent opportunity where I learned new things and improved what I already knew. The game was finished and followed the initial plan, which was good, and it met the requirements set at the beginning. Despite this, I realize it still has some bugs and errors, with the biggest problem being optimization. Since we finished right at the deadline, we didn't have time to focus on optimizing the game, so it ended up being quite heavy. If we had more time, that would be the next step to address.
